Find answers to common questions about Login AlertX and its security features

General Questions

Login AlertX is a Windows security software that sends real-time email notifications when someone logs into or unlocks your computer. It includes core features like basic login alerts and premium features such as webcam captures, audio recordings, system/network information, and location data (e.g., city, country), activated via a serial key validated at loginalertx.com.

Login AlertX requires:

  • Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, or 11 (32-bit or 64-bit).
  • Minimum 512 MB RAM.
  • ~20 MB free disk space.
  • Internet connection for email notifications and premium validation.
  • Optional: Webcam and microphone for premium photo/audio features.

Yes, security is our priority. Validation data (serial key, email, machine name) is sent securely via HTTPS to loginalertx.com and not retained. Webcam images, audio recordings, and network/location data (e.g., city, country via IP-API, see their Privacy Policy) are stored locally in %LocalAppData%\LoginAlertX and sent only via your configured email server. You are responsible for securing your device. See our Privacy Policy.

Setup

Download the installer from loginalertx.com, run LoginAlertX_Setup.exe, and follow the prompts. Choose your installation directory and enable the “Start with Windows” option if desired. After installation, configure SMTP settings in the Software to start receiving notifications.

In the Software’s “Email Settings” tab:

  1. Enter your SMTP server (e.g., smtp.gmail.com) and port (e.g 587).
  2. Provide your sender email and password. Use an app-specific password if required (e.g., for Gmail with 2FA enabled, generate one at Google App Passwords).
  3. Specify the recipient email.
  4. Customize the email subject (optional).
  5. Enable premium features like webcam capture, audio recording, or location data during the 30-day trial or with a purchased license (optional).
  6. Click “Save Settings.”

Check your email provider’s SMTP settings for accuracy. Contact [email protected] if you face any issue.

Note: If using Gmail, set your email (e.g., [email protected]) as the “From” address and use [email protected] as the “Recipient” to easily send and receive Login AlertX alerts in your Gmail inbox.

Each serial key licenses Login AlertX for a single device. To use the Software on multiple devices, purchase additional licenses via loginalertx.com. Each device requires its own serial key for premium feature activation after the 30-day trial. Contact [email protected] for license transfer inquiries.

Premium Features

Premium features are available during the 30-day trial upon installation. To continue using them afterward, in the Software’s “License” tab, enter your 16-character serial key and associated email, then click “Validate Key.” The Software connects to loginalertx.com to verify your license, enabling features like webcam capture, audio recording, and location data. You can enable or disable these features in the Software’s settings.

Premium features, available during the 30-day trial or with a purchased license, include:

  • Frequent Notifications: Alerts for every login/unlock, not just the first per session.
  • Webcam Capture: Attaches a photo to notifications.
  • Audio Recording: Includes a short audio clip.
  • System Info: Adds CPU, RAM, and OS details.
  • Network Info: Includes IP and adapter details.
  • Location Data: Includes approximate city and country via IP-API.

Activate these via a valid serial key after the trial period.

Ensure the serial key and email are entered correctly. Check your internet connection, as validation requires contacting loginalertx.com. If issues persist after the 30-day trial, contact [email protected] with your order number and serial key details.

Billing

Visit loginalertx.com, select your license, and complete the purchase via WooCommerce. Payment is processed securely (e.g., via Stripe or PayPal). After payment, you’ll receive a serial key via email to activate the Software. A 30-day trial of premium features is included with the download, no purchase required.

Monthly plans are billed at ₹49.90/month (regular ₹99.90) and are non-refundable. Yearly plans are billed at ₹499.00/year, equivalent to paying for 10 months and getting 2 months free, offering significant savings. Yearly plans also come with a 14-day refund period. Both plans include all Premium features and updates after the 30-day trial. See our Refund Policy for details.

Refunds are issued at our discretion, typically within 14 days of purchase, subject to our refund policy. The 30-day trial does not require a purchase and is not eligible for refunds. Contact [email protected] with your order number to request a refund. Detailed terms are available upon request.

Yes, you can purchase additional licenses for more devices via loginalertx.com. Each license is tied to one device and activates premium features after the 30-day trial. Contact [email protected] for assistance with bulk purchases or custom licensing needs.

Troubleshooting

Check the following:

  1. Verify SMTP settings (server, port, email, password) in the Software’s “Email Settings” tab.
  2. Ensure your email provider allows SMTP (e.g., use an app-specific password for Gmail).
  3. Confirm your internet connection.
  4. Check spam/junk folders for notifications.
  5. Ensure location data retrieval (via IP-API) is not blocked by your network.

If issues persist, contact [email protected] with logs from %LocalAppData%\LoginAlertX.

Ensure:

  • A webcam and microphone are connected and functional.
  • Premium features are activated, either during the 30-day trial or with a valid serial key.
  • Windows permissions are granted to Login AlertX.
  • Audio files are not corrupted (check playback in settings).

You can disable webcam/audio features in settings if not needed. Check logs in %LocalAppData%\LoginAlertX and contact [email protected] with details.

Try these steps:

  1. Reinstall the Software from loginalertx.com.
  2. Ensure your system meets the requirements (Windows 10+, 512 MB RAM).
  3. Check logs in %LocalAppData%\LoginAlertX for errors.
  4. Contact [email protected] with details.

If the software closes immediately after launch, it could be due to multiple startup entries being created in the system registry. This causes the application to attempt to launch multiple instances, which can lead to the second instance closing right away.

To resolve this, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Registry Editor by typing regedit in the Windows search bar and pressing Enter.
  2. Navigate to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
  3. Look for multiple entries related to Login AlertX and delete any duplicate entries.
  4. Restart your computer.

This should prevent the software from closing prematurely. We are aware of this issue and will be addressing it in an upcoming update.

Login AlertX performs activities such as monitoring Windows login events, capturing webcam photos and audio, collecting system information, and sending automated email notifications. These actions resemble those used by some malware, so heuristic and behavioral antivirus detection may flag Login AlertX by mistake.

No. Login AlertX does not contain any code designed to harm your computer or steal your data. All its functions are legitimate, security‑focused features that work with your consent. Antivirus detections in most cases are false positives.

Common triggers include:
  • Background login/session monitoring.
  • Webcam photo capture and microphone recording.
  • Automated email sending with attachments.
  • Data encryption and use of the Windows Credential Manager.
  • Starting automatically with Windows and running a local HTTP listener for OAuth login.
These are normal for security tools but can resemble malware behavior.

Yes. Many monitoring or security tools are flagged for the same reason — their features overlap with techniques that malicious software might also use.

  • All your sensitive data (photos, audio, system info) is stored locally unless you configure it to be emailed.
  • License validation happens securely over HTTPS and is not stored by us.
  • You can review our Privacy Policy and, if you wish, request clarification from our support team.

  • Confirm the detection by checking the file hash or VirusTotal scan.
  • Whitelist Login AlertX in your antivirus software if you trust it.
  • Contact our support with details so we can report the false positive to the antivirus vendor.

No. You should not completely disable antivirus protection. At most, whitelist Login AlertX in your antivirus while keeping your security software running.

Email us at [email protected] with:
  • The name and version of your antivirus.
  • The exact detection name/message shown.
  • A screenshot of the alert.
We work with antivirus vendors to fix false positives.
