Installation Issues
- Installer Won’t Run:

- Ensure you have administrative privileges: Right-click
loginalertx-setup-vx.x.exe
and select Run as Administrator. - Temporarily disable antivirus software, as it may block the installer.

Service Not Starting
The Login AlertX Service
is a background service that monitors login events. If it’s not running, notifications may not work.
- Check Service Status:

Win + R
, typeservices.msc
, and press Enter. - Find
Login AlertX Service
in the list. - Verify its status is Running. If not:
- Right-click and select Start.
- Set Startup Type to Automatic (right-click, select Properties).

- Restart your PC to reset the service.
- Reinstall Login AlertX to repair the service installation.
- Ensure you have administrative privileges for service management.
- Tip: If the service fails repeatedly, contact support with details of the issue.
Email Notifications Not Sent
If you’re not receiving email notifications:
- Check Internet Connection:
- Ensure your PC is online (test by visiting a website).
- Notifications are queued if offline and sent when connectivity is restored.
- Verify Email Settings:
- OAuth (Google/Outlook):
- In the Email Settings tab, click Sign out and sign in again.
- Ensure your browser allows pop-ups for authentication.
- Click Test Email to confirm setup.
- SMTP:
- Verify SMTP server, port (587 or 465), username, and password.
- For Gmail, use an app-specific password (generate at https://myaccount.google.com/security).
- Click Test Email to diagnose issues.
- OAuth (Google/Outlook):
- Firewall Settings:
- Ensure outbound traffic is allowed on ports 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL).
- Add
Login AlertX
to your firewall’s allowed apps.
- Multiple Accounts:
- Confirm the correct email account is configured for your user session.
- Check the Email Settings tab for each user on a multi-user PC.
- Tip: Check your spam/junk folder for notifications. If issues persist, contact support.
Premium Features Not Working
If webcam, audio, or system/network information isn’t included in notifications:
- License Validation:
- In the Activation tab, verify your Email Address and Serial Key.
- Click Validate Key (requires internet).
- Visit Pricing to confirm your subscription status.
- Hardware Issues:
- Webcam: Ensure it’s connected and works in another app (e.g., Windows Camera).
- Microphone: Test in Sound Recorder or another app.
- Check Device Manager for driver issues.
- Feature Settings:
- In the Premium Features tab, ensure Webcam Capture, Audio Recording, and System/Network Info are enabled.
- Click Save and test with a lock/unlock event (
Win + L
).
- Tip: Contact support if premium features don’t activate after validation.
No Notifications for Some Events
If notifications are missing for certain events (e.g., lock/unlock):
- Check Preferences:
- In the Preferences tab, ensure App Enabled is toggled on (system tray icon should be green).
- Verify settings:
- Select Every Login for all logon/unlock events.
- Select First Login Only for initial logons only.
- Check Include Lock/Unlock Events for lock notifications.
- Click Save to apply changes.
