Push Notifications
With a Premium license, Login AlertX can send instant push notifications to your smartphone whenever a login is detected on your PC. Alerts arrive on your phone even when you’re away, with no need to open any app.
What You Need
- An active Premium license or trial
- An Android smartphone
- The Login AlertX mobile app installed on your phone
- You can pair up to 2 devices per account
Step 1: Install the Mobile App
Download the Login AlertX Android app from the official website:
Once downloaded, open the APK file on your phone and follow the installation prompts. You may need to allow installation from unknown sources in your Android settings if prompted.
Step 2: Pair Your Phone
There are two ways to link your phone to your Login AlertX account:
Option A: Pairing Code (Recommended)
- Open the Login AlertX mobile app on your phone.
- Tap Link Device and enter your registered email address.
- Tap Send Pairing Code. A 6-digit code will be sent to your email.
- Enter the code in the app. It expires in 5 minutes, so enter it promptly.
- Your phone is now linked. You’ll receive a confirmation notification.
Option B: QR Code
- Open Login AlertX on your PC and go to the Notification Preferences tab.
- Click Link Mobile Device. A QR code will appear on screen.
- Open the Login AlertX mobile app on your phone and tap Scan QR Code, then point your camera at the QR code on your PC screen.
- Your phone will be linked immediately.
Managing Linked Devices
To view or remove linked devices:
- Open Login AlertX on your PC and go to the Notification Preferences tab.
- Under Linked Devices, you’ll see a list of paired phones with their names and the date they were linked.
- To unlink a device, click Remove next to it. The phone will be notified and unlinked immediately.
What Push Alerts Show
Each push notification on your phone shows:
- The event type (e.g. Login, Unlock, Remote Login)
- The Windows username
- The date, time, and IP address of the event
- The risk level (Low / Medium / High)
Tapping the notification opens the mobile app, where you can view the full event history synced from your PC.
Viewing History in the Mobile App
The mobile app lets you browse your PC’s login event history on your phone. Tap Sync in the app to pull the latest events from your PC. Your login history is synced securely and is not stored on any external server.
Tips
- Allow notifications for the Login AlertX app in your phone’s settings, or alerts may not appear.
- If you get a new phone, pair it and remove the old device from the Linked Devices list to free up a slot.
- Push notifications and WhatsApp can be used at the same time for redundant coverage.
