Installation

This section guides you through downloading, installing, and verifying Login AlertX on your Windows PC. The installation process uses a user-friendly installer and requires administrative privileges.

Downloading the Installer

  1. Visit one of the following trusted sources to download the installer:
  2. Click the download link to save login-alertx-setup-vx.x.exe to your computer.

Installing Login AlertX

  1. Run the Installer:
    • Locate LoginAlertX_Setup.exe in your Downloads folder.
    • Double-click to start the installation.
    • If prompted by User Account Control (UAC), click Yes to allow the installer to make changes (admin privileges required).
  2. Follow Installer Prompts:
    • Welcome Screen: Click Next to begin.
    • License Agreement: Read the terms, check I accept the agreement, and click Next.
    • Installation Path: Accept the default path (C:\Program Files (x86)\Login AlertX) or choose a custom location, then click Next.
    • Select Components: All components (client application and background service) are included by default. Click Next.
    • Ready to Install: Review your choices and click Install.
    • Completion: Click Finish to exit the installer.

Verifying Installation

  • System Tray Icon: After installation, a Login AlertX icon appears in the system tray (bottom-right corner of your screen). It’s green when the application is enabled.
  • Service Status:
    1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    2. Locate Login AlertX Service in the list.
    3. Confirm its status is Running. If not, right-click and select Start.
  • Start Menu: A shortcut for Login AlertX may appear in the Start menu under “Login AlertX.”

Uninstalling Login AlertX

If you need to remove Login AlertX:

  1. Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  2. Find Login AlertX in the list, select it, and click Uninstall.
  3. Follow the uninstaller prompts to remove the application and service.
  4. (Optional) Manually delete residual files from:
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Login AlertX
    • %AppData%\LoginAlertX (type %AppData% in File Explorer’s address bar).
