What Gets Installed

The installer sets up two components:

  • Login AlertX — the app you interact with, accessible from the system tray
  • Login AlertX Service — a Windows background service that monitors login events continuously, even when the app window is closed

Verifying the Installation

  • System tray icon: You should see the Login AlertX icon in the system tray (bottom-right corner of your screen, near the clock). Double-click it to open the app.
  • Service status: To confirm the background service is running:
    1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    2. Find Login AlertX Service in the list.
    3. Its status should show Running. If not, right-click it and select Start.

Uninstalling Login AlertX

  1. Open Settings > Apps (or Control Panel > Programs and Features on older Windows versions).
  2. Find Login AlertX, select it, and click Uninstall.
  3. Follow the prompts. The uninstaller removes the app and stops the background service.
  4. To remove residual settings and logs, you may optionally delete:
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Login AlertX
    • %AppData%\LoginAlertX (type %AppData% in File Explorer’s address bar to navigate there)
